If you find sizes in between, opt for the larger and customize it. Make sure the well fits snugly against the free edge for full or half-well tips.
After selecting and customizing all tips, cleanse the nail plate thoroughly. It’s crucial to use a professional-grade adhesive that suits the tip type and client needs. Apply the glue to either the tip or the natural nail, aligning the tip at a 45 to 90-degree angle before pressing it down firmly. Finally, shape and trim to your client’s desired length.
Blending Tips for a Smooth Finish
For full and partial-well tips, blending is essential to ensure a seamless transition from tip to natural nail. Use a liquid tip blender to soften the plastic seam, minimizing filing and potential damage to the natural nail plate. Avoid blending well-less tips to maintain their crisp features.
After trimming and blending, cleanse the nails again and apply primers. Ensure primers and bonders only go on the natural nail to prevent damage to the ABS plastic tip.
Care and Maintenance
When applied accurately, nail tip enhancements can last two to three weeks. The longevity depends on the glue used; thicker viscosity glues provide more durability. Clients should be advised to use cuticle oil daily to maintain the extension and prevent natural nail dehydration. Promptly fixing any breakage will also extend the life of the nail tip application.
