Empowering Beauty Pros: PBA’s Unwavering Support
The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) stands at the forefront of providing relief and support to beauty professionals affected by natural calamities. In a remarkable instance of solidarity, the PBA has distributed essential supply kits worth over $100,000 to beauty pros impacted by the devastating California wildfires. This initiative aims to help these experts rebuild their careers and resume work amidst challenging times.
Relief Efforts Bring Hope to Beauty Professionals
On February 3rd, the air was filled with gratitude as beauty pros, impacted by the wildfires, gathered at SOS Beauty’s Beverly Hills office to receive their much-needed relief kits. This distribution event was a beacon of hope for nearly 100 licensed professionals, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the PBA and SOS Beauty.
Jennifer Jackson, a hairstylist profoundly affected by the wildfires, expressed her heartfelt appreciation: “When I got home, I just started crying. What PBA and its partners are doing for the community is a blessing.” Losing her kit in the fires was an overwhelming blow, yet this support has reignited her ability to work.
Comprehensive Tools for a New Beginning
From hairdryers and curling irons to clippers and professional color supplies, the relief kits contained a vast range of tools vital for beauty professionals. These essential items were carefully selected to enable stylists to regain their footing and continue their practice with renewed vigor.
Palisades hairstylist Marice Egan shared the profound impact of this support, stating, “You absolutely can’t imagine the pure joy you brought today… I have never been treated the way you guys treated us.” Such testimonials underscore the significant and positive influence of this relief initiative.

The Power of Collaboration and Compassion
Leslie Perry, Executive Director of PBA, highlighted the collective effort that made this relief possible: “These kits are a crucial part of our ongoing efforts to assist those affected by this crisis. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support from our members, partners, and sponsors.”
The PBA’s commitment begins with its partnerships; companies such as Alter Ego Italy, Amika, Bellami, and many others have generously contributed to the Disaster Relief Fund and Beauty Relief Kits.
Looking Forward: Continued Distribution
The PBA’s dedication to helping beauty professionals does not end here. Stylists who couldn’t attend the initial distribution can receive kits at the upcoming Premiere Anaheim event on February 23 or 24. Interested individuals can submit a request for more information to ensure they don’t miss out on this opportunity.
This sustained effort illustrates the resilience and strength of the beauty industry when faced with adversity, fostering a sense of community and collective power among its members.
Acknowledging Support and Partnership
The PBA extends special thanks to all involved parties, including SOS Beauty Group and prominent industry names such as Michael Shaun Corby, DePasquale Salon Systems, EVO, Framar, Fromm, GHD, and many others. Their contributions have played a pivotal role in bringing these relief efforts to fruition.
